Ricardo Fernandes

Associated Professor of the Faculty of Sport – University of Porto. Directive Board of the Porto Biomechanics Laboratory and Member of the Centre of Research, Education, Innovation and Intervention in Sport. He is interested on the biophysical characterization specially centred on the availability and use of energy in cyclic sports (e.g. swimming, running, cycling, rowing, surfing and kayaking). He also interested in planning and periodization, and training control and evaluation. He is main investigator of funded research & development projects, Editor-in-Chief the Portuguese Journal of Sports Sciences, author of over 200 studies displayed on Scopus and member of the scientific and organizing committees of international level congresses.
